Burlap incorporated into a boutonniere adds a rustic and more manly touch. If the groom isn’t too eager to wear flowers on his lapel, try adding some burlap to rough it up a bit!

I found these first few images through Style Me Pretty, and absolutely fell in love with the idea of a flower petal curtain. Either as a ceremony backdrop, part of your reception decor, or just to add some interest to an outdoor space, the flower curtain is simple and breathtaking. Plus, with the talent and ingenuity of the ladies at Intrigue, it’s completely attainable for your own wedding or event!

Wedding decor can sometimes pose a challenge for brides who are wanting to DIY or display something unique. Vintage tea tins are a gorgeous way to add an elegant touch to your centerpiece. During the planning process, collect various tea tins (the more mismatched, the better!) and give them to your florist to design around!

This wedding is both classic yet very contemporary and unique. Plus, Meredith and Charles make for an extremely gorgeous couple! Filled with different textures and details like sleek calla lilies, modern bonsai trees and moss, their wedding is unlike anything I’ve seen before! Meredith and Charles met at Washington College in the fall of 2007. They dated throughout their college years and were engaged in April 2011 and married March 10, 2012.
Let’s hear a little bit about the happy couple, and check out the gorgeous photos captured by Hamilton Photography:
We knew we wanted to get married on the water and have a beautiful sunset view. When we found Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, we knew it was the perfect place for us. Every detail of the venue was exactly what we imagined. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!
Intrigue Design was a pleasure to work with. As one who had no idea what kind of flowers I wanted, other than calla lilies and something green, Sarah and Melissa took my few ideas and ran with them. Everything turned out better than we could have imagined! They were willing to go beyond flowers to give me ideas for reception decorations, name cards, and even how to “mask” the huge projector at the ceremony by placing flowers elsewhere. The end result was spectacular! They were wonderful to work with, I have not hesitated in recommending Intrigue to friends!

I’ve seen a lot of all-white bouquets, or mostly white bouquets lately, and I’ve been recently inspired by them. I’ve always been a big believer of color in a bride’s bouquet, but lately, my tastes have shifted and I’ve become enamored with the look of a white bouquet with some touches of green. Take a gander at a few white bouquets I found and let me know if you love this look too!

You know those things you stumble upon on the internet that you just become obsessed with? This picture of whimsical spring florals in a twine-wrapped mason jar was it for me. I completely fell in love with the flowers, the color palette, and the care-free way in which it was assembled. I want a hundred of these arrangements in my home immediately! So needless to say, I was very excited about this inspiration board. I absolutely love the combination of soft colors with electric pink. This just screams spring to me!

Tropical florals are exotic, bright, and gorgeous, but if not done right, it can look like guests are attending a college luau rather than an upscale wedding reception.
The ladies of
Intrigue Design & Decor are always paving the way for contemporary wedding floral and design work, and this week, we’re showcasing one of their latest tropical designs that was displayed at the
Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Bridal Show.
With tropicals, using modern pieces like lucite chairs and suspension work compliment each other well. There’s also lots of leeway when choosing a color palette. All the bright colors of the tropics are eye-catching and festive!
Thanks to the talented
Hamilton Photography, we get to share with you beautiful images of these modern suspended tropical displays!

We’re having a flashback moment to April 23rd, 2010, to Lena and Ben’s perfect springtime wedding. This wedding completely caught our eye for 2 reasons: the delicacy of the yellow tulips, and the striking photography of L Hewitt Photography. Here’s what the ladies of Intrigue had to say about this gorgeous day:
April 23rd was another perfect Wedding Day and the grounds at Gramercy Mansion added a garden charm that reflected Lena’s personality and Style. Her wedding was casually elegant with simple yellow tulips and grosgrain ribbon. Lena was fortunate to have an amazing photographer by her side – L Hewitt Photography. Enjoy the work of this talented photographer.

What could be more fun than a lively wedding complete with traditional Jewish bottle dancers and striking pink details? Debbie and Curt’s wedding was both romantic and effervescent with exotic fuchsia orchids on every detail. I absolutely love the decor of the reception, combining simple paper balls with gorgeous chandeliers. If you’re looking for a bright wedding palette to inspire you for after these winter months, this is it!
