Style: Color Blocked Bridesmaids

Color blocking is a huge trend and certainly makes a bold color statement. I’m seeing more and more how brides are making more trendy choices when it comes to bridesmaids, and color blocking is a great way to add color and style to any wedding party.

We were inspired by this picture from Green Wedding Shoes for our color blocking inspiration board.

 

Here are a few tips to make color blocking work in your wedding party:

1. Don’t be afraid of going all out. Using multiple, solid colors is what color blocking is all about! Pinks, oranges, yellows, blues…it all works.

2. If you go bold, tone down other things. Use neutral or organic elements to complement the bold colors, such as simple flowers, and sleek reception elements. This will allow the color blocking to really stand out, but not overwhelm.

3. Not totally committed to the trend? Add in a pop of color to your wedding party palette, either a bold clutch or bright shoe.
