I was really inspired by this week’s Rusty Love styled shoot, especially the photo with the striking combination of tangerine and aqua. I couldn’t resist putting together a whole board celebrating the complimentary duo!

For the Men: Stand-Out Groom Style

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

The wedding day is almost always all about the bride. But what about the groom? We want to show a little love towards the men of the day, especially the ones that take a more non-traditional approach to the wedding day outfit. I absolutely love casual vests and sleek suits. And of course, nothings says romance like a man in a bowtie!

Veil Style

Monday, January 16th, 2012

Just like dresses, veils come in all shapes and sizes and really define the bride’s style on her wedding day. From long to short, veils can add simple elegance or drama. They vary in lengths and shapes, and can also be adorned with lace or beading to add a little something extra. Of course, you can choose to go veil-less, but if you are thinking about wearing one, check out the inspiration below for some different shapes and styles you can go for!

Long, floor-length veils, or cathedral-length veils, are traditional and dramatic. Even outside of the traditional church setting, these long veils are appropriate with floor-length, dramatic wedding dresses.

Mid-length veils are appropriate with virtually any wedding gown in any setting. They are completely versatile and can be dressed up or down with extra adornments such as lace or crystals.

Short & full veils add a serious wow-factor to any bride’s ensemble. A la Carrie Bradshaw, these short little veils can definitely send a bride into the couture realm!

Barely-there veils come in all shapes and sizes and can come with or without a hair accessory. These cage veils are quirky and cute and are a sweet alternative to the longer veils.

For a completely non-traditional approach, veils can add a punch of color to the bridal gown. In either bold, bright hues or soft and delicate tones, these colored veils are sure to add a unique element to your ensemble!
